Here is a new pallet knife oil painting I just completed a few minutes ago. Yes, a few minutes ago which means the colors are still really wet and juicy.
With this piece, I tried to move the mountains back a little bit. I did not want them too far where you can't make out the highlights, but I wanted a definite separation between them and the mid ground foliage.
When you paint, you can make completely different paintings with similar elements. Where you place the elements can be as crucial to the paintings success as any other feature, at times.
